Shedden vows to keep working hard in the WTCR
Gordon Shedden has vowed to keep “plugging away” in his efforts to replicate his British Touring Car Championship achievements in the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO.
The Scot is a three-time winner of the British title and is in his first season of international racing in an Audi Sport Leopard Lukoil Team RS 3 LMS.
However, his results so far have yet to quite match his usual high standards, making him more determined than ever to shine at WTCR Race of Netherlands this week, a venue where he tested back in March.
“The felt the best it’s done this year,” Shedden said following the Nürburging Nordschleife triple-header last week. “There’s still a lot of work to do however, and we’ve got to keep our heads down and keep plugging away at it.
“After [Zandvoort] we’ll have a little bit of time to take stock of the situation. These first few rounds are quite close together, and both I and the team are new to the world championship, so it’ll be nice to work on what we’ve got and try and make a big step forwards for Vila Real in June and onwards.”
