Alvarez to return to Atletico training

Julian Alvarez is expected to return to Atletico Madrid training on Sunday after missing Saturday night's 3-1 defeat at Sevilla.

The Argentina international was left out of the travelling squad but continued to work individually at Atletico's training facilities. The club expect him to rejoin the first-team group on Sunday.

Atletico sporting director Mateu Alemany told Movistar: "We've been clear. The Board of Directors has said it, Miguel Angel Gil Marin has said it, I refer you to that, why would I say more?

"Julian had some days when he wasn't feeling well, he trained yesterday and we expect him to be available for the next league match."

Hutchinson set for Milan loan

AC Milan have reached an agreement with Nottingham Forest to sign Omari Hutchinson on loan, with an option to buy that will become mandatory if certain conditions are met, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Talks accelerated between the clubs on Saturday and they are now working to finalise the deal. Hutchinson was left out of Forest's squad for their 2-2 draw at Liverpool earlier in the day.

Asked about potential departures after the game, Forest head coach Oliver Glasner said: "Let's see. If we have definitely one, potentially two and probably three signings, it would make sense if we have definitely one, potentially two and probably three players who will leave us."

Hutchinson would link up with Ruben Amorim in Milan if the move is completed, having previously scored against the Portuguese coach's Manchester United side in a 1-1 draw with Ipswich in Amorim's first Premier League game in charge.

Everton keen on Tete

Everton are interested in signing Fulham right-back Kenny Tete before Tuesday's transfer deadline, with David Moyes making the position a priority, according to Sky Sports.

Moyes came close to signing the 30-year-old last summer when his Fulham contract was expiring, but Tete ultimately stayed at Craven Cottage. He remains Fulham's first-choice right-back, with Timothy Castagne also an option.

Fulham are now in talks with Rayo Vallecano over Andrei Ratiu, potentially opening the door for Tete to leave. Moyes has stressed that Everton want to add only players capable of strengthening his squad.

De Zerbi: Richarlison, Danso, Sarr want to leave

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Roberto de Zerbi has revealed that a trio of names could leave before the summer transfer window shuts on Tuesday, with Kevin Danso, Pape Matar Sarr and Richarlison all potentially heading for the exit.

Speaking after his side's 2-0 home defeat by Newcastle, the Italian explained why all three were absent from the matchday squad.

"Richarlison he said too many times that he wanted to leave. Danso came to me two days ago and said he wanted to leave. Sarr the same but he also suffered a small injury but he is almost ready to train.

"I love these players and these are great guys. I have very good relationships but if they want to leave they have to bring the economic solution to the club and they can go and we'll find other players."

West Ham seek double late swoop

West Ham United are targeting two young wingers as they look to strengthen Nuno Espirito Santo's squad before Tuesday's transfer deadline, according to The Athletic.

The Hammers are in talks with Viking over a deal worth around £18million for 21-year-old Edvin Austbo, who has scored 15 goals in 71 appearances for the Norwegian champions and was named the Eliteserien Young Player of the Year in 2025.

West Ham have also submitted a £12million offer for 19-year-old FC Midtjylland winger Mikel Gogorza. The Denmark Under-19 international scored six goals and provided three assists in 36 appearances last season.

The attacking reinforcements would be particularly valuable given Nuno's current options, with Jarrod Bowen, Manor Solomon, Keiber Lamadrid and academy prospect Joshua Ajala among his available wide players. West Ham have taken just two points from their opening three Championship games, including Saturday's 1-1 draw at Watford.

Forest 'agree Munoz deal'

Nottingham Forest have agreed a £22m deal with Crystal Palace for right wing-back Daniel Munoz, according to Sky Sports.

The 30-year-old is set to reunite with former Palace manager Oliver Glasner, who is keen to bring Munoz to the City Ground.

Palace had already made preparations for a potential departure, signing Anan Khalaili from Union Saint-Gilloise earlier this summer.

Munoz joined Palace from Gent for £8.5m in January 2024 and has since helped the club win both the Conference League and FA Cup.

He has two years remaining on his contract at Selhurst Park, with Palace holding an option to extend the deal by a further year.

Moyes: We can't afford to lose best players

Everton manager David Moyes stressed the importance of keeping hold of the club's key players while acknowledging the need for further strengthening before the transfer window closes.

"We can't afford to lose any players, certainly not our better ones. The club dictates a lot of that and we'll see how the next few days go. We could do with strengthening and hopefully we can do that. We have a good basis. Let's hope we can build on it."

Harrison Armstrong has been linked with a £40 million move to Nottingham Forest while Manchester City have reportedly been linked with forward Iliman Ndiaye, both of whom started in the 1-1 draw at Bournemouth.

Asked about Liverpool's pursuit of PSG winger Bradely Barcola, manager Andoni Iraola offered little in the way of detail but acknowledged that discussions remain ongoing.

"I cannot tell you anything different right now. There are things going on," Iraola said, before turning his attention to the approaching transfer deadline following his side's 202 draw with Nottingham Forest.

City 'want Fernandez' and have 'concrete interest' in Ndiaye, says Ornstein

David Ornstein explained on TNT Sports this morning what we can expect from Manchester City in the final days of the window.

He said: "Man City want Enzo Fernandez, but they are going to have to come up with a level of money that Chelsea find acceptable.

"Chelsea are going to have to be able to reinforce in a way that leaves them in a stronger position; they don't want to be weakened by it."

"It's a huge decision for Chelsea. The player clearly wants to go. The question will be, if he doesn't, will he reintegrate? I suspect he probably will. His international team-mate Emiliano Martinez is there now. A great new manager in Xabi Alonso.

"But it's clear that there's an issue because he's not been involved in Chelsea's squad.

"Will City put up the right numbers? Will Chelsea be able to get some reinforcement that makes them happy to do that deal?

"I can then see [City] trying the wide player, whether it be Cody Gakpo, Iliman Ndiaye from Everton, who they have concrete interest in; there is a deal that is ready there to be done, there is obviously some relation in terms of Jack Grealish as well.

"Could they go for a different full-back? I actually think City will be one of the busier sides before the cut-off."
